One that motivated Ady Setyawan and Marjolein van Pagee to publish this book is the fact that not many historical buildings related to Battle of Surabaya in 1945 still remain. More than just buildings, on first week of August, the public was shocked by the government idea to change the name of two very historical streets in Surabaya : Dinoyo and Gunungsari.
